The Carphone Warehouse recognised that social media – and in particular the voices of their staff – could be a powerful force in driving recommendation of Carphone Warehouse as a trusted retailer. YouTube was then an obvious media platform.

The problem is (or rather was) the YouTube is branded like, er, YouTube, not the Carphone Warehouse so much of the brand association would be lost.

Code’s solution was to create the first fully branded YouTube channel. Working with Google, we extended YouTube with a rich, Flash based navigation and gave Carphone Warehouse a unique presence on the site.
