Role Overview

Within CODE’s software delivery lifecycle, the Senior Client Consultant serves as the primary contact with the Client; the individual on the team who knows / will learn the client’s business best: their processes, their people, their requirements.

Expectations of the Role

The Senior Client Consultant understands and can articulate and document the difference between the client’s present situation and their future situation post implementation of CODE’s product. Thus they are the de facto owner of the change management process within the client business. The Senior Client Consultant is expected to lead: propose new solutions based on solid analysis and relevant experience; guide the client through complex concepts; assist in the prioritization of efforts; and manage shifting priorities in response to changing business needs. Finally, the Senior Client Consultant will produce documentation that effectively translates the client’s requirements to an offshore team of professional, highly skilled software developers and testers, and will lead the development team in close collaboration with the technical project manager through a successful implementation.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive / productive relationship with client: on-going communication and understanding of their business situation
  • Clearly and thoroughly document clients’ business processes / workflows – both current and future state
  • Clearly and thoroughly document clients’ business and functional requirements as related to proposed software solution
  • Produce wireframes / UI design
  • Obtain client sign-off / approval of all documentation
  • Ensure offshore project manager and development teams understand requirements

    Code’s development takes place in London, New York and off-shore. Successful candidates will naturally display excellent technical ability but also a commitment to team working and effective communication.

    This role is responsible for implementing high quality, scalable and extendable SharePoint solutions

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement SharePoint Designer workflows.
  • Coding, testing and implementing solutions in a SharePoint environment.
  • Taking directions from management in implemening solutions.
  • Unit testing for all assigned deliverables.
  • Ability to work from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration.
  • Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement.
  • The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of C#, ASP.net , SharePoint 2007, and solid experience with SQL 2005/2008.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions.
  • Experience of designing and implementing best practice MOSS infrastructure including security design and topology, application installation and configuration, code version management, back-up and restore processes
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies
  • Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing software solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business.
